Luka began his musical journey by attending a lower music school, where he took clarinet lessons. Somewhere in the middle of his schooling, he realized that the clarinet did not belong in rock bands like Queen and Dire Straits, so he started learning the guitar, which his father encouraged him to do. It was only towards the end of high school that he found his true passion, when he started learning drums more seriously.
He soon re-enrolled in music school and completed lower music school with teacher Rade Božič - this time with drums. Zaspana Grapa was his first serious band where he accumulated the necessary "mileage" that every drummer desperately needs. He later participated in the groups Flashback, Pollux, StereoTipi and collaborated with other local musicians.
His desire to create original music drove him, together with bassist Alen Bogataj, to found the band Divje Jezero in 2008, where in addition to playing drums, he also participates as a composer. He also participated in the founding of the Idrija Jazz In Ti Big Band in 2009. During this time, he was also an active member of the Idrija Miners' Band.
Today, Luka devotes most of his attention, in addition to his family, to the band Divje Jezero as a drummer and songwriter, the Cherry Wine - Amy Winehouse tribute band, occasionally collaborates with the jazz punt big band, the Idrija Dance Orchestra, and also releases his original music in the Osmi oktober project, thus continuing to develop his musical career.
