Alen Bogataj began his career in music at a young age, when he attended accordion lessons at an elementary music school. As a high school student, he realized that the accordion had little in common with Metallica and Nirvana, and accordingly, he changed his previous instrument for an electric guitar.
After a couple of years of playing current foreign hits in the band Zaspana Grapa, he changed his instrument once again due to a change in the lineup, mainly for drums. He deepened his knowledge of drums by visiting elementary music school again, while in between he diligently practiced a fourth instrument - the bass guitar.
In the past, he played drums in the bands Kar čes brass band, Poltrona express, Godba Cerkno. He currently works as a bassist in Divje Jezero, Jejčk, Cherry Wine-Amy winehouse tribute, Gorazd Lampe Band.
